Beiden achteruitrijlichten doen het niet, lampjes OK.
Heb 12V achter fuse 7, maar die spanning gaat eerst naar de achteruitrijschakelaar en dan via de light control unit naar de achterlampen.

Wat ontbreekt in het Haynes manual is de locatie van de achteruitrijschakelaar (waarschijnlijk op de versnellingsbak) en de bewuste light control unit.

Is er iemand die weet waar ik beiden kan vinden, zodat ik mijn fault-finding missie kan voltooien.
Voordat ik de wagen op de brug zet en onder bij de versnellingsbak ga zoeken naar die schakelaar is het handig als iemand verteld dat het bij de versnellingspook zit en je misschien dit van binnenuit kan benaderen.
Is de light control unit een grote module die achter de accu zit of achter de fuse box?
Wie helpt mij uit de nood...

Ja de zekering is OK, want ik meet 12 volt op de uitgaande draad die naar de schakelaar gaat.

voor het geval de switch OK is, waar zit de light control box ergens, daar kan het ook nog foutgaan namelijk.

In veel documentatie ontbreekt vaak de locatie van units in de auto, schemas genoeg en allemaal erg duidelijk.

Zit achter je zekeringen, 6 schroefjes losmaken en hele bovendeksel kan eraf.
Langste relais is van de verlichting.

Als zekering 7 de stroom niet doorlaat/stuk is, zou je ook kachelproblemen hebben: blijft/wordt warm.
De 12V moet op pin 13 van het voetje met 16 contacten van het LampenKontrollGerät aankomen.
(dat relais heeft 3 voetjes met 8, 10 en 16 contacten)
Tussen de schakelaar en LKG relais zit trouwens ook nog een 4 pins stekker/voetje:
die zit boven de gaspedaal en aan een beugeltje die aan de kachelunit vastzit.
Pin 1 en 2, resp. de zwart/rode & grijs en grijs/gele & rood zijn voor de achteruitrijschakelaar.

Brandt het waarschuwingslampje in het dashboard ook, nu de achteruitrijlampen niet branden?

Fuse7 is OK want ik heb 12 volt daarna, op de draad die naar de schakelaar gaat.
Dus het is of de schakelaar, of het stekkertje of de light control unit. Alle andere functions van de auto werken naar behoren (kachel, etceteras). het zijn alleen maar de achteruitrijlampen die niet branden.

John, dank voor de photo.
mijn schakelaar functioneerd als het pennetje ingedrukt wordt, maar door de jaren heen (33) is het pennetje wat schuin afgesleten en dus wordt het niet goed ingeduwd door het versnellingspook meganisme.
Nieuwe besteld (Febi bilstein 7,70 euros en gratis geleverd Amazon prime) en maandag zal ik het monteren.
