MB_w124......hoe kom je aan die foto van dat varkentje op skies. Heel leuk en toepasselijk aansluitend op het verhaal. Lachte me rot toen ik je reactie zag.

En ter geruststelling: er zijn geen nieuwe nachtmerries meer gekomen. Eén per vakantie is genoeg. Hahahaha.......

Even over het weer de afgelopen dagen. Gisteren lagen de bergen in een dichte mist. Heel link om te skien. Dus uit veiligheid maar vroeg gestopt.
Vandaag zag het er al een stuk beter uit. Blauwe lucht. Dus ik dacht ....op naar Mellau/Damuls. Een groot skigebied met voor ieder wat wils. Toen we ernaar toe reden werd het weer mistiger en mistiger. Brrrrrrrrrrrr......snel rechtsomkeer terug naar de blauwe hemel en de zon. Wat een paar tussenliggende bergen in zo'n gebied al niet kunnen tegenhouden.
We besloten geen risico te nemen en door te rijden naar Warth. Even het hoogte verschil:
Mellau ligt op 700m en het skigebied (de parkeerplaats) Warth op 1600m. Er zitten aardig steile klimmetjes met haarspeldbochten in. Dus een hernieuwde test van de kracht van een 200D.

Door de haarspeltbochten kom je haast volledig stil te staan tegen/voor een hellend vlak van 6%.
Terugschakelen naar 1, klim beginnen weer naar zijn 2......en daar kan je dan ook beter in blijven. Met een snelheid van 40-45km zijn we naar boven gereden. De motor loopt dan zeer gelijkmatig en dat voelt prettig aan.

De rit is al met al goed verlopen. Al zou ik zelf nooit met een 200D + aanhanger of caravan de bergen met meer dan 6% stijgingspercentage willen ingaan.

Vraagje.................op de terugweg zat ik natuurlijk flink in de afdaling.
Op het dashboardscherm ging het handremlampje knipperen. De motor liep gewoon nog en de handrem was er goed vanaf. Bij zo'n afdaling rem ik af en toe af op de motor. Dan begint het knipperen. Iemand hier ervaring mee en een antwoord/verklaring op deze vraag voor me?

Afsluitend een mooie foto van de voorruit van mijn 200D. Zelfs de voorgevel van Benzen zijn zo mooi!!!!!!! Hahahaha!

Remvloeistof iets bijvullen, normaal Dot 4, dacht ik.
En inderdaad, in de bergen met een caravan van 1350 kg, moet mijn E250 20v diesel er flink aan trekken. Daarom heb ik ook een Mercedes :woohoo:

Heb je al geprobeerd achteruit de berg af te rijden?
Dan staat de vloeistof andersom in het reservoir. Misschien helpt het.

Bedankt voor jullie antwoorden over de remolie.
Schiedam-ster......ik heb een foto genomen van ons appartement in Bregenzerwald. Zoals je kunt zien is dit onderkomen een stuk beter dan ons stulpje op het complex.

Vandaag heerlijk geskied in Mellau. Zonnetje kwam pas na 13.00 uur goed door. Heerlijke Goulashsoep op en Qbuik jr. een chickensticks met patat. Even later er flink tegenaan gegaan. Maar wat gebeurd er: we verliezen elkaar uit het oog. Hij ging piste 4 af en ik 2. Elk naar een andere aansluiting. Gelukkig hadden we van die kleine portofoontjes bij ons. Toch????

'Qbuik jr. kom er eens in'.............'Qbu ik jr. kom er eens in'.........en dit herhaalde zich vele malen totdat hij zich ineens vanuit het niets krakend door het luidspeakertje liet horen.
'Pa waar zit je?'......Op de 6, bovenop de berg waar de lift naar Mellau naar beneden gaat'. 'De 6 nemen!!" Plotseling geen contact meer.......later werd duidelijk dat de batterijen van de portofoons op waren.
6 bovenaan is overigens de meest logische plek om naartoe te gaan als je elkaar uit het oog verliest. Dáár is immers de lift naar beneden toe. Iedereen die naar Mellau wilt moet via deze lift. Maar iedereen kwam met de lift naar boven behalve.....onze Qbuik jr!
De liftbediende begon om 16.25 uur de liftbankjes omhoog te zetten en al snel was het laatste bankje opgeklapt. Ik schrok me rot. Wat nu?
Kiezen Qbuik.......of zelf naar beneden naar Mellau of mezelf de diepte instorten op zoek naar Qbuik jr. Je moet er toch niet aan denken dat zo'n jongen alleen tussen die witbesneeuwde bergen achterblijft en de duisternis gaat invallen en alle liften verlaten zijn. En temperaturen ver onder nul, redt Qbuik jr. dit wel?
Brrrrrrrr......ik maakte impulsief de keuze en stortte me op m'n kleine skies naar beneden, op zoek naar Qbuik jr. Sla 2 bochten door en kijk naar boven.......de lift, met opgeklapte bankjes, draaide nog steeds en wie zie ik tot mijn schrik daar zitten: Qbuik jr!
Sh*t!! En ik ging juist nu naar beneden....., naar een lift die op het punt stond te sluiten.
Nou mensen, ik heb nog nooit met zo'n hoge snelheid een afdaling genomen.
Helemaal alleen op de piste. Ook op andere pistes in de verte zag ik niemand meer. De sneeuwschuivers maakten zich klaar om de piste voor morgen te prepareren en de sneeuwkanonnen werden aangezet. Wat een toestand. De liftbediende was woedend op mij. Maar toch liet hij me plaatsnemen. Boven gekomen nog een woedende liftbediende weten te ontwijken, waarna ik Qbuik jr., huilend als een baby, in mijn armen kon sluiten.
Maar we waren er nog niet. De lift naar Mellau had men inmiddels gesloten. Als een speer begonnen we aan de afdaling naar Mellau, waar Benz op de parkeerplaats stond te wachten. Uiteindelijk zijn we in het dorp aangekomen. Vermoeid sleepten we ons naar de inmiddels eenzame Benz...........en eerlijk is eerlijk.......die stoelen hebben nog nooit zo lekker gevoeld voor de spieren. Wat een avontuur was dit! En gelukkig allemaal goed afgelopen.

Ha Qbuik.
Wat een spannende dag! echt waardeloos om elkaar zo uit het oog te verliezen aan het einde van de dag. Gelukkig is het goed gekomen en zijn de q buikies weer bij elkaar.
Morgen nog een dagje op de latten en dan zaterdag weer lekker een dagje touren in de Benz.
Wat een schitterend appartement heb je weer dit jaar. Nu begrijp ik wel waarom je zoveel geld kwijt was aan je onderkomen, is wel heel appart dit.Heb ik ook altijd al willen doen zoiets.Jammer dat iets speciaals altijd zoveel geld moet kosten.
Doe voorzichtig en ik zie je binnenkort.

Wat een verhaal.
Kan mij heel goed voorstellen dat je je zorgen maakte maar je hebt echt geluk gehad.
Ik heb ooit in Zwitserland naar boven moeten lopen.
Gelukkig zonder skies en stokken (had ik af kunnen geven) maar wel op skischoenen.
Na elke heuvel denkend: ik ben er.
Helaas kwam er nog een heuvel, en nog één, en nog één.
Wat was ik blij toen ik (na een uurtje of 5) boven was.

Schitterend apartement heb je. :lol:

Beste forumleden,

waar ik erg blij om ben geweest is het feit dat ik voor mijn vertrek naar Bregenzerwald de rode ribmatten uit de Benz heb gehaald en heb vervangen door cocosmatten voor en cocosmatten achter. Achter heb ik zelfs rubbermatten eronder gelegd. Die wil ik ook voor de voorzijde gaan kopen. Ondanks dat je voorzichtig bent met de Benz is het niet te voorkomen dat sneeuwresten en blubber van de parkeerplaats al snel hun plek vinden in de Benz. De matten zien er dus aardig vuil uit.

Leuk is dat Schiedam-ster en ik tijdens de SS Rotterdam dag in een Benz een prijslijst van de opties uit 1985/86 zagen liggen. En wat stond daar tot onze verbazing bij? Jawel.....cocosmatten en wel liefst voor de prijs van 385 guldens excl. btw.
Wij lachen, want nooit verwacht dat die cocosmatten van mij destijds een officieel Mercedes produkt was!

Helaas-helaas……..door negatieve ervaringen……… een vertraagd vervolg op het avontuur van Qbuik’s Benz in Bregenzerwald……..ik kom hier later in het avontuur nog wel op terug.

Vrijdag was het alweer het laatste dagje skien voor Qbuik en Qbuik jr. Als afsluiting van de skidag en de vakantieweek brengen wij traditiegetrouw altijd een bezoek aan de Bauernmarkt in Schoppernau, voor de aankoop van allerlei lokale specialiteiten. Je moet dan denken aan Bergkäse, Wurst & Fleish, Kruidendranken en Likör en smeermiddeltjes voor de huid en spieren enz.

Dit jaar zou al snel heel speciaal blijken te zijn……..bij binnenkomst van de hal werd mijn aandacht direktl getrokken door een oude vrouw, die op een klein krukje in een hoekje verscholen zat. Voor zich had zij een soort halve houten ton met sneeuw erin staan…????... Nieuwsgierig liep ik naar haar toe en wierp een blik in die ton om te zien wat er wellicht aan koopwaar in/tussen de sneeuw zou liggen……… Mmmmm……vreemd….niks te zien …..wat was dit nu weer??? De vrouw had een zakdoek in haar handen en murmelde wat in zichzelf….Plotseling keek ze naar mijn buik en murmelde wat……..haar ogen glinsterde fel en onderzochten me verder van top tot teen om uiteindelijk weer terug te keren bij mijn buik. Ik stond verstijfd, zo intens was haar aanblik. Plotseling pakte zij mijn rechterhand en keek naar de binnenzijde. O neen hé!, heb ik dat weer. Maar haar handen voelde zo zijdezacht aan. Zo zacht, dat ik er niet aan dacht om mijn hand los te rukken. “Setzen Sie sich bitte” en ze wees naar een tweede klein krukje, die ik nog niet eerder had opgemerkt. “Bitte”, haar fluweel zachte handen deden mij op het krukje vleien. Wat nu? Heel voorzichtig kreeg ik de zakdoek over mijn handen heen gewreven. “Gerne Ihr Hand”….Wat ik anders nooit doe: ik luisterde naar de opdracht van deze vrouw! Hahahaha……Voorzichtig gaf ik mijn rechterhand. De vrouw begon opnieuw te murmelen en cirkelde met haar linkerhand cirkelvormig om mijn hand heen en met de andere hand zat ze in de sneeuwton te bewegen. Heel gemeen hoorde ik Qbuik jr. lachen………Hahahaha….Fijn zo’n zoon! , daar heb je wat aan, dacht ik.
Haar blik richtte zich weer op mijn buik en ze sprak wijselijk “Ihre Name ist……….en ze gaf me een sein dat ik in de sneeuwton moest kijken………Heuuuuu……ze had er een ‘Q’ ingeschreven en weer keek ze naar mijn buik. Moest ik hier 'Qbuik' van maken? Was dit toeval? Ik voelde dat ze met haar vingers de lijnen in mijn hand volgde. ‘Sie werde 50 Jahre dieses Jahr’…….’Stimmt’ stamelde ik zachtjes…….’Sie haben Kinder ‘ en weer ging haar andere hand tekeer in die sneeuwton met als resultaat een ‘2’. “Stimmt’……..’Und Sie gehe mit ein Mädchen auf Ferien’……..In de ton verscheen ‘Spanien-Barcelona’…..Heuuuuuu…..mij niet bekend? Gaat iemand Qbuik verrassen met een reisje naar Spanje Barcelona???? Und Sie wollen gerne ein grosse Mercedes W124 Cabriolet bekommen”……..Ja, stammelde ik weer……Hoe was dit toch mogelijk, hoe kon ze dit nu weten ………’Schauen Sie mal in die Tonne’…….Ik keek en tot mijn stomme verbazing zag ik daar de naam van mijn beste vriend in staan: SCHIEDAM-STER! De vrouw keek me lachend aan. “Dein Traum soll sicher Wahrheit wurden!! Sie bekommen ein W124 Cabriolet vom dieser Mann” en ze wees zelfverzekerd naar de naam van Schiedam-ster in de ton. Blij verrast heb ik snel een foto van de ton gemaakt.

Enorm blij en 25 euro armer wandelde ik met Qbuik jr. naar buiten, terug de sneeuw in. Mijn gedachte dwaalde af naar Spanien-Barcelona, naar de W124 Cabriolet, naar……….......Schiedam-ster……..hij zal toch niet die mooie Almaldin rode cabrio voor me gaan kopen????? Zou die dat van Cabriokontje mogen ?????? Tjeeeeeeetje……….Bizar!! Maar het zou wel erg tof van 'm zijn!

Wakker worden !!!! je gaat nu wel heel erg ver in je dromen.
Het spijt me voor je maar ik denk dat deze droom geen werkelijkheid gaat worden.
Misschien heeft de waarzegster het fout gezien en wordt het andersom.
Vind ik een beter plan.............

Schiedam-ster,

het was geen droom. Ik heb Qbuik jr. nog héél hard in mijn hand laten knijpen. Ik kan het ook nauwelijks geloven.......

Maar hoogste tijd voor het verslag van Qbuik Benz: de terugreis!

Vroeg uit de veren: om 08.00 uur vertrokken we weer richting Nederland. Een heerlijk vooruitzicht........ dieselen in de Benz!
Nog even getankt in Oostenrijk en toen begon de terugreis echt. Alles ging volgens plan totdat we bij Breda kwamen. Daar begon de auto ineens te stotteren, om na enkele minuten weer de vaart te herpakken. Ik merkte wel dat gas geven niet hielp in die situatie.
Even later.........weer......?????.....wa's dat nou? Weer herpakte de auto zich....zeker een vuiltje of zo? Daarna bleef het rustig..........Eigenlijk waren we het al vergeten toen we de tunnel bij Zwijndrecht inreden. Maar plotseling, bij het beklimmen van de tunnel voelde ik de kracht van de auto wegvloeien! Neen, niet hier hé!?? Gelukkig kon de auto net de klim voltooien. Ik stuurde snel na het verlaten van de tunnel naar de vluchtstrook en voelde hoe de motor uitviel. Net op tijd.
Het was behoorlijk druk op de weg en dus zijn we snel achter de vangrail gaan
Veiligheid voor alles. Qbuik jr. keek me vragend aan. Wat nu? Geen nood: de ANWB bellen, daar zijn we immers lid van.
Nou, klasse! Die stond dus na 10 minuten al naast ons. Trekkabel aan de Benz en eerst werden we naar een veilige plek (verder gelegen station) gesleept. Waarna de ANWB-man de Benz ging onderzoeken. Pfffffffffffffff....'heerlijk eindelijk weer eens een auto waar ik ouderwets nog iets mee kan', zei hij. Enthousiast vertelde hij over de motoronderdelen en legde uit hoe e.e.a. werkte. Al snel wees hij naar het doorzichtige voorfiltertje en het doorzichtige dieselslangetje naar het (hoofd)brandstoffilter. In het voorfiltertje zat vuil en in het slangetje bovenin zat lucht. Dat zijn de boosdoener(s). Het advies van de ANWB: zo snel mogelijk laten vervangen en het probleem is waarschijnlijk over.
Uiteindelijk startte de auto weer en zijn we, onder begeleiding van de ANWB, de Brienenoord overgereden richting home-sweet-home.
Ondanks dat het niet leuk was om met pech te komen staan zijn we weer wat wijzer geworden over de Benz door de uitleg van de ANWB-monteur.

Vandaag is de reparatie uitgevoerd. Nieuw voorfiltertje en een nieuw (hoofd)brandstoffilter. Of dit genoeg zal zijn om weer probleemloos rond te kunnen rijden in Qbuik's Benz........
