Sinds kort ben ik de trotse eigenaar van een Mercedes-Benz 300CE!

Het is een origineel Nederlandse auto met cruise control, airco, elektrische ramen en een blauw leren interieur. Vooral de zebranohout inlays vind ik geweldig:

Ik heb de auto laten nalopen bij Mercedes Oldtimers Bladel waar ik fantastisch ben geholpen. Helaas heeft het noodlot daar toegeslagen dus ben ik momenteel weer op zoek naar een specialist.
We zijn meteen al op roadtrip geweest dus de wagen heeft al een rondje Duitsland gezien. Hier in Leipzig:

De auto loopt prachtig maar ik heb wel een kleine olielekkage uit de koppakking. Ik had begrepen dat de oplossing doorgaans is om de kopbouten weer goed op moment te zetten. Binnenkort gaat er daarom een nieuw setje kopbouten in. Hopelijk hoef ik de koppakking zelf niet te vervangen.

Verder ben ik zelf wat in de weer met kleine dingetjes. Ik heb een piepende kachelventilator vervangen, de versleten armsteun wordt binnenkort vervangen en ik ben o.a. op zoek naar nettere zijruiten. De huidige zijn nogal bekrast (bekend CE probleem)

Oja, en ik heb een setje 16 inch 8 lochs gescoord als zomerset:
