Dat is beeld vullend uitgaande van oudere monitoren. De beeldverhouding 4:3 is inmiddels achterhaald. Moderne monitoren zijn breder en vragen een andere breedte : hoogte verhouding bij voorbeeld 16:9

Het zou erg vervelend als er in een technische discussie of een How-to, er ineens dode links verschijnen, wat dat onderwerp praktisch onbruikbaar kan maken. Zoals Gullwing het al zo mooi aangeeft, zal het forum inderdaad binnen weken een gatenkaas worden. Fotootjes zijn verkleind op 1600*1200 pixels ongeveer 0.5 MB, echt enorm klein naar hedendaagse maatstaven.
En dan maar te bedenken dat fysiek nog niet erg lang geleden, digitaal gezien zo'n 100.000 jaar geleden, een totale opslag van 1 MB in een computer de maatstaf was.

Het is geen enkel probleem verkleinde bestanden gewoon op het forum te plaatsen. Capaciteit genoeg.
