Hopelijk heeft iemand hier ervaring mee.
Geen grote problemen maar toch iets dat me niet correct lijkt.

Net na ik aan het laatste kwartje begin gaat de lamp van reserve al branden. (zoals te zien op foto)
Dit lijkt me iets te vroeg, vermoedelijk is 1 van beide waarden foutief

Foto is genomen aan het tankstation, heb hem toen vol gedaan en is 63l in de tank gegaan.

Gezien deze grote hoeveelheid vrees ik dat de meter een iets te optimistische waarde aangeeft

Wagen in kwestie is een 300TE 4-Matic

Vlotter er even uit halen. Schoonmaken en opnieuwe testen. Best makkelijk te doen bij een combi

Zal dit binnenkort eens proberen.
Enige tips hiervoor? Lijkt me niet aan te raden deze met water te gaan reinigen?

Hoi hoi,, kan het wijzertje op het asje van de voorraad meter niet iets verdraait zijn? is net iets simpeler te verhelpen.
Maar de combinatie reserve licht met wijzerstand moet toch ook een indicatie zijn.
In elk geval zou ik me stukken lekkerder voelen als ik nog een reserve tankje met benzine in de auto zou hebben liggen.

Ik had ook zulke problemen met mijn E280, vlotter schoongemaakt en toen was het weer goed. Ik had met remreiniger gedaan, je moet wel voorzichtig zijn volgensmij met dat draad. Nu al bijna 1.5 jaar geen last meer

Tip: Zorg dat je hem goed weer aandraait anders heb je een brandstoflucht in je auto hangen, don't ask
Tip2: Zoek op google naar "W124 fuel sender" (vlotter in het engels), krijg je wel veel informatie

Vlotter uitnemen en schoonmaken bij een kombi heb ik toevallig pas gedaan, is eenvoudig zelf te doen:


Met 63 liter bij te vullen brandstof, lijkt het vlotterlampje goed te werken, de meter of variabele weerstand in de vlotter zijn niet zoals ze horen te zijn. Dit zal wel door te meten zijn, als je zoekt zoals Gripen aangeeft moet je wel meetwaarden kunnen vinden om je meter en vlotter mee te staven. De naald zakt over het tellerbereik wel langzaam naar beneden, of heb je het idee dat de naald ergens blijft hangen?

Als je tank vol is, staat de meter dan precies op het streepje van vol, of ernaast?

Bij mijn vriendin is het zo dat haar meter een halve centimeter boven de teller uitkomt als ze net getankt heeft, en haar lampje gaat dus ook branden op het moment dat de meter nog een kwart aangeeft. Bij haar klopt de teller dus niet, en is de meter verdraait.

Ik heb echter zelf al gemerkt dat bij niet elke W124 het lampje op hetzelfde moment gaat branden. Bij mij gaat het lampje echt pas aan als het laatste streepje is bereikt. Ik heb echter al een ander type gereden waarbij het gaat branden zodra de tank volgens de meter nog 15% vol zit.

Even andersom: hoe staat bij jullie de meter bij vol ? Mijn tank is 90 liter, en staat bij vol, zoals op de foto te zien. Kan mij van mijn vele 200 diesels herinneren, dat de naald voorbij het streepje vol 1/1 stond.

Van al mijn wagens kan ik enkel zeggen dat ze na het tanken exact op het streepje van 1/1 staan, nooit verder.
Als ze, zoals bij jou op de foto, net er onder staan wilt het bij mij zeggen dat de wagen links hoger stond dan rechts bij het tanken (nee, geen grap )

Wagen van dit topic is inmiddels verkocht

Ik merk met mijn andere auto wel, dat er verschil is bij verschillende pompen. Ik bedoel, dat ik er bij de ene pomp meer in krijg, dan bij een andere. Zal best te maken hebben, met wat schuiner staan.
