Hallo allemaal ik heb weer een vraag aan jullie iets waar ik niet uit kom ik wou vanmiddag even mijn olie peilen alleen blijft mijn motorkap niet open staan in de gewone stand in de rechtop stand doet hij het wel.

Ik ben aan het zoeken geweest bij het motorkap mechanisme maar ik zie niks wat kapot is of verbogen zouden jullie weten wat dit zou kunnen zijn???

Het is een beetje lastig zo bedankt weer voor jullie hulp

Je motorkap heeft 2 veren welke verborgen zitten achter je voorspatborden. Meest snelle manier om even te kijken wat er mis is is om je plastic modderkuipen aan de voorkant eruit te halen. Dan kun je met een zaklamp bovenin richting je deur hopelijk zien wat er mis is. Om eventueel wat te maken zul je wel je spatbord eraf moeten halen maar het handig als je van te voren weet welke
Kan een gebroken veer zijn maar ook de bevestigingsbeugel aan de auto wil er wel eens af roesten.

Hallo Arjen bedankt voor je uitleg het zou best kunnen dat er een veer is afgebroken ik hoop het niet ik heb deze week vroege dienst ik zal s middags eens kijken met een zaklamp.

Dus als er wel een veer kapot is moet het spatbord er af dat heb ik weer , hopen dat de temperatuur een beetje goed blijft.

Ik heb toch eens aan de draden gerommeld bij de aanjager schakelaar en het zat wel in de bedrading dus de schakelaar was niet kapot ik heb de draden iets verlegd en alle standen doen het weer

Dan heb ik toch nog eens een vraag aan jullie iets waar ik al heel lang over na loop te denken ik zit nog steeds met mijn lelijke dashboard waar een paar scheuren en een gat in zit.

Ik kan er een ander dashboard in zetten maar wou vragen aan jullie is er iets van folie te koop om er overheen te plakken ik wil er geen kermis auto van maken al zou het alleen voor tijdelijk zijn.

Ik heb ook al zitten denken om het gat op te vullen bijv. met plamuur maar of dat een succes word??

Ik heb er zelf geen ervaring mee, maar zoek eens op dashboard repair op Google en je komt daar best een grote variëteit tegen aan reparatiemethodes.

Zelf zou ik indien je er niet onderuit komt om het dashboard uit te bouwen voor de reparatie, gewoon gelijk een ander dashboard monteren.

Een ander dashbord inbouwen is echt zo veel werk niet hoor Nico...........ik heb het een aantal keren gedaan en het valt best mee.

Bedankt voor jullie advies en foto ik ga me er toch eens in verdiepen of repareren of een andere er in zetten.

Ik heb het nu even zo op gelost ik heb er een stukje anti slip mat over heen gelegd voor het zicht.

Voor een tientje of 5 heb je een mooi dashboard

Zo ziet het er eigenlijk uit (niet) het lapje is van de vorige eigenaar er zit een gat onder maar hoe het gat er in komt geen idee

Ik zal ook eens filmpjes kijken over de reparatie van dashboarden de link van Hans maar ik heb ook nog een andere gevonden alleen gaat dit over een Porsche 944 die heeft wel een dashboard die iets vlakker loopt dan onze W124.

Nou dit valt niet meer te repareren hoor Nico!!!!!...zo man...hij ziet er ook uitgedroogd uit.
op je gemak dash vervangen...hooguit een dag werk.

En als je de nieuwe erin hebt gewoon af en toe met cockpitspray nat maken zodat het niet droog is.

Ja jullie hebben gelijk ik ben er ook bang voor als ik de vinyl reken en de lijm dan kan ik net zo goed een ander dashboard kopen.

Ik heb nog wel een vraag aan jullie ik heb zelf een type 1 van 1988 maar een type 2 is toch hetzelfde dat ik er straks niet mee zit dat ik mijn roosters etc . niet over kan zetten???

Wel een goed tip van de cockpit spray dan blijft hij lekker soepel.

Type2 heeft houtinleg he! Nico ...en de roosters kun je gewoon overzetten .

Altijd cockpitspray erop vooral in de zomer

Bedankt voor je link ik ga er vanavond even voor zitten en op het houtinleg is hij hetzelfde dan weet ik dat.

Ik vraag het aan jullie om te voorkomen dat alles straks niet past

Jouw dashboard klimt goed Michael ik ga ook de cockpit spray gebruiken als ik hem vervangen heb.

Ik weet het niet zeker hoor heren, maar mij lijkt het beter om het dashboard en overig plastic af en toe te voeden met ledercreme of iets dergelijks. Wanneer dat dan is ingetrokken lekker laten glimmen met cockpitspray als je dat wil.

Zoalsv gezegd weet niet zeker dat het beter is, zie het als goed bedoelde tip en doe er vanzelfsprekend mee wat je wil.

Ik denk dat geen enkel product er echt intrekt...maar in de cockpitspray zit een UV beschermer en dat is natuurlijk wel goed....het is denk ik een kunststof/kunstleder of zoiets.

vooral de blauwe dashbords hebben veel last van uitdrogen/scheuren en de USA types
maar inderdaad als je regelmatig de cockpitspray gebruikt dan ziet jou dash er ook na 30+ jaar er nog goed uit hoor.

Ja het kan beide eerst maar eens een dashboard zien te vinden ik zoek een zwarte en cockpit spry moet ik volgens mij nog wel hebben ergens.

Dan heb ik nog 1 vraag aan jullie mijn stoel (Type 1) is toch niet zo heel best na een poosje krijg ik toch last van mijn rug.
Als ik nou een type 2 stoel zou kopen die past gewoon dan zit ik alleen met de bekleding ik heb hier op het forum gelezen dat die gewoon over te zetten is maar als ik zo naar de foto s kijk is o.a.de zitting en rugleuning toch iets anders van vorm.

Past dan toch mijn oude bekleding er over heen jullie hebben dit misschien vaker gedaan???

Cockpit spray is troep, je dashboard wordt vettig en glimt zodanig dat hij reflecteert in je voorruit als er veel zon staat.
Ik heb veel getest en mij bevalt nog steeds Smartwax Smartdressing het beste.
Geeft een mooi origineel uiterlijk en doet verder goed zijn werk tegen uitdrogen.

Ik kan me wel herinneren dat als de zon op je dashboard staat dat je dan verblind word nu je het zegt ik zal eens op google kijken naar die Smartwax bedankt voor de tip

Heb simpelweg een in vorm en op maat geknipt stukje EPDM vijverfolie op het dashboard boven de tellerbak liggen. Valt niet op bij een zwart dashboard en je blijft altijd goed zicht houden, ongeacht de zon.
Is wel vijverfolie met een heel licht profiel erin, niet helemaal glad, anders spiegelt het waarschijnlijk toch.
