Maar is er ook iemand die mij kan vertellen hoe dat moet?

Rubber vulringen zitten boven over je veer. Je kunt daar max. 3 cm (dacht ik) mee winnen, mits je nu de dikste hebt.
Tel de nopjes aan de zijkant van je rubber, en je weet het. Andere rubbers bestel je bij de dealer voor paar knaaken.
Gebruik ook de zoeken functie hier op het forum, veerrubbers.

Ook je Benz opnieuw laten uitlijnen als hij lager ligt

1 nop staat voor een halve cm. Mocht je nu 4 hebben dan kan je 1 nops plaatsen. Komt erop neer dat de auto gemiddeld 1.5cm lager komt. Bij zon kleine verlaging is uitlijnen niet specifiek nodig. Is wel beter natuurlijk maar het zal niet helemaal uit een lopen.
Om echt wat lager te gaan dien je toch andere veren te monteren.

Let wel hoe lager je gaat hoe schadelijker voor je Benz.
O.a:

Wiellagers slijten veel meer
Uitlaat rijd je over drempels
Bumpers raak je
Comfort wordt stukken minder
en je schokbrekers zijn in no time verrot.

En ga zo maar door.

Andere veren komen er zeker niet onder. Onder de 300E van mn vader zitten kortere veren en dat is niks.
Ik wilde alleen die rubbers er tussen uit halen. Maar er moet er per sé nog 1 tussen zitten van 0,5 cm? Of hoeft er niks tussen te zitten???

Jawel, er moet er 1 tussen zitten. Even met een lamp kijken bovenop de veer. Je zult zien dat er nopjes aan zitten. Hoe meer nopjes hoe hoger het rubber is.

De ene veer is de andere niet he? Ik heb zelf een Eibach set eronder met voor 3,5 cm verlaging en achter 3 cm. Als schokbrekers heb ik gele koni's. Mooier uiterlijk met gevulde wielkasten en strak weg gedrag met toch nog voldoende comfort.

Ook kan ik met deze bescheiden verlaging nog gewoon drempels over zonder dat hij schraapt.

Vind dit altijd een beetje lastig. Ik verlaag liever door afstemming van demper/veren combi, of beter nog, schroefset. lever je minimale comfort in en het is op elkaar afgestemd. Je dempers zijn toch afgesteld op langere veerweg, je veren zijn gewend aan meer rek dan de ingedrukte toestand dadelijk. Maar ik besef dit wordt geschreven door iemand die niet pioneert en altijd de veilige werkwijze kiest. Ik ben dus wat lafjes wat dit betreft, zeker als het gaat om wegligging en remgedrag. Dus ik kan ook zomaar overdrijven.

Even nog een bijdrage van mij, dit zijn de rubbers die je kan halen:
201 321 09 44 Front, 1-point (8mm)
201 321 10 44 Front, 2-point (13mm)
201 321 11 44 Front, 3-point (18mm)
201 321 12 44 Front, 4-point (23mm)

201 325 09 44 Rear, 1-point (8mm)
201 325 10 44 Rear, 2-point (13mm)
201 325 11 44 Rear, 3-point (18mm)

Houd er rekening mee dat je huidige rubbers al niet meer de originele dikte zijn door het lange gebruik. Dus als je 3 bumps had en nu naar 2 zou gaan dat er waarschijnlijk niet heel veel verschil tussen zit. Als je nieuwe schokdempers gaat plaatsen heeft dit waarschijnlijk ook nog een klein beetje invloed.

Dus, als ik het goed begrijp moet ik nieuwe rubbers aanschaffen en die vervangen door de oude waardoor ik een minimaal verschil krijg in hoogte?

als er nu 18mm tussen zit van laten we zeggen 25 jaar oud en je doet er dan 8mm tussen die nieuw zijn, dan nog zakt ie wat

Nu is die van mij met schokdempers die niet lek zijn juist weer hoger komen te staan

Als je vooraan van de dikste naar de dunste rubbers zou gaan zakt hij 1.5cm, even zonder rekening houden met eventueel doorgezakt zijn van de huidige rubbers. Dat word al snel 2,...cm thv het wiel omdat je wiel verder op de draagarm zit dan je veer.
Je kan dus wel wat lager geraken zo. Heb het bij mijn W123 ook op die manier gedaan.

Hmmmm.... Dan zal ik die rubbers eens gaan zoeken....

Mijn persoonlijke mening, ik zou geen tweedehands gebruikt rubber halen waarvan je niet weet hoe oud het is en wat het allemaal heeft meegemaakt.Ik zou eerst eens bij de dealer informeren wat het daar kost per stuk. De part nummers heb je al...

Ja ben het eens met Gripen. Dat soort spul kost niet heel veel bij de dealer. Slijtage delen zou iedereen sowieso nieuw moeten kopen, tenzij je precies weet van wie het is en hoelang het gebruikt is dan.

Nee, geen gebruikte rommel of imitatie. Gewoon nieuw en origineel

Dus... Ben aan het zoeken gegaan, maar boven mijn veren krijg ik geen rubbers gevonden
Boven mijn schokbrekers zitten wel oranje kleurige rubbers, maar die zijn het niet. Toch?

Nee, het gaat toch echt om de rubbers die in de veerschotels zitten, tussen de veerschotels en de veren.

Als je in de veerschotels kijkt, zie je als het goed is die rubbers met een aantal puntjes erop. De hoeveelheid van de puntjes geeft de dikte van het rubber weer (zie foto).

Hier zie je een voorbeel van die van mij, bij de voorveren! Klein beetje wazig maar je ziet 3-bumps.
