Vanmorgen stond ik heel raar te kijken , ik was in het centrum van Alkmaar beland. Het was daar heel erg druk stilstaan en optrekken enz lette goed op het verkeer.
Opeens kwam er rook onder de motorkap vandaan op een druk punt voor stoplichten.. dacht Benz in brand.... maar nee.
Bleek dat de overstort van de koelvloeistof open was gaan staan.Heb de auto kunnen parkeren bij een winkel waar ik moest zijn en koelvloeistof kunnen halen. Ik heb ruim 2,5 liter gele koelvloeistof die er al in zat bij moeten vullen.
Bij thuiskomst geen lekkage gezien.
Vraag me nu af is er iets stuk , ik weet ook niet wanneer de ventilator gaat draaien en hoe ik dit kan testen.
Naar huis van Alkmaar naar Grootebroek ging verder prima.

Inmiddels zover dat ik weet dat ik de thermoschakelaar moet testen. Op mijn auto zit er een met 3 pootjes omdat ik airco heb.
Weet alleen niet of ik zo goed getest heb. Bij het doorverbinden van de stekker met draaiende motor gebeurde er niks,de fan sloeg niet aan.
Mijn auto heeft een magneetkoppeling om de ventilator in te schakelen. Ik heb dat ding eerlijk gezegd nog nooit gehoord.
Zekeringen heb ik ook nagekeken zijn allemaal nog intact.

Wanneer je zoiets hebt, dan zou normaal gesproken de temperatuur meter moeten oplopen.
Heeft hij dat ook gedaan, of?

Mijn ervaringen met koelvloeistof spugen.
- Kapotte thermostaat
- Niet werkende koelvin
- Defecte koppakking

Heb je naar een schema gekeken voordat je draden hebt doorverbonden?
Waar gaat de betreffende draden heen? Ik zie volgens mij een rode en zwarte draad achter de stekker, dat zijn kleuren die je niet zomaar moet doorverbinden.

Edit: Net even gekeken, het is een dubbele switch die op twee verschillende temperaturen doorverbind.
Er is een gemeenschappelijke pen en beide andere pennen hebben dan een eigen switch, die doorverbinden naar de gemeenschappelijke pen.
Zo te zien heb je de pennen gepakt die voor de verschillende temperaturen bedoeld zijn en dan werkt het niet.
Naar ik aanneem sturen ze beide een aparte ventilator aan.
Duw gewoon een stuk draad in een verbinding van de stekker die je nu hebt doorverbonden en houd de andere kant op een massa van het blok, je zou dan een fan moeten horen draaien, doe dit zelfde nu ook met de andere uitgang op de stekker. Als het beide magneetkoppelingen zijn, dan zal je met draaiende motor moeten testen, of kijken of je op de fan weerstand voelt.

Ik ga morgen even kijken , hoe kom ik er achter of de thermostaat kapot is.
Deze auto heb ik vannaf july 2021, die ventilator heb ik nog nooit horen draaien.
Temperatuur meter blijft normaal rond de 80 graden, maar ik was op het verkeer aan het letten en niet op de temp
meter. Deze ging wel dik voorbij de 80 graden zag ik later.
En voor ik het wist kwam er stoom onder de motor kap vandaan wat dus door het overdruk ventiel
op de dop van het koelwater tankje spoot.

Als een thermostaat kapot is, dan blijft hij hangen op het korte circuit.
Dit zou je dan kunnen voelen aan de koelslangen, hoe warm ze zijn.

De thermostaat zelf kan je dan bij twijfel vervolgens apart testen in kokend water, om te zien of hij wel opent.

Indien je nog nooit de koelvin hebt horen draaien, dan zal dat de boosdoener kunnen zijn.
Ik zou eerst mijn aandacht daar op vestigen.

Dus eerst kijken wat er gebeurt als je handmatig massa maakt.

Zojuist de auto warm gereden de koelwater temperatuur bleef mooi op 80 graden staan zoals altijd.
Bij thuiskomst de motor ruim 5 minuten stationair laten draaien toen liep de motor temperatuur op , weet alleen niet hoeveel graden dat is. (Zie foto) toen begon het slangetje op het expansievaatje koelvloeistof te spugen.
Die ventilator heb ik niet horen draaien en dit ook nog getest met een draad in de stekker en op de massa van de motor.
dit deed ik gister ook , en toen zag ik een vonk op de massa.

Waarschijnlijk daardoor een nieuwe storing ontstaan. Op het bedieningspaneel van de auto zitten 2 ronde wielen voor de kachel, blauw is koel en rood is warm deze reageert niet meer op koud en blijft warme lucht blazen. Vermoed dat er door de vonk die er kwam bij het testen van de temperatuur sensor iets is stuk gegaan, maar wat
Ik heb een foto van de temperatuur meter erbij gedaan en de methode hoe ik die sensor test maar de fan gaat niet draaien.

Als je de stekkeruitgang met de zwart/rode draad hebt verbonden met massa blok, ligt zekering 7 eruit...

Die rode stukjes tape betekenen dat er 12V/spanning op de draden staat of kan staan.
Met draaiende motor staat er spanning op de zwart/rode. De dubbele temperatuurschakelaar zal bij ca. 100 graden de magneetkoppeling koppelen en bij ca. 110 graden de aircofan via relais K9.

Net even die zekeringen na gekeken aan zekering 7 die ik geen doorgebrande verbinding.
Wel fijn dat je meedenkt.

Vervang deze toch maar en meet dan met een multimeter of er 12V op de rood/zwarte staat.

De kvs-temperatuur wordt veel te hoog, heb je het koelsysteem wel goed ontlucht?

En hoe is het niveau in het expansievat?

Wat op die link staat voor die W201 heb ik net gedaan. Motor aangezet temperatuur liep langzaam op linkerkant van de radiator was eerst koud. Toen te temperatuurmeter voorbij de 80 graden was werd de linkerkant van de radiator ook warm en liep de temperatuur langzaam verderop. Bij het eerste streepje voorbij de 80 de motor uitgezet na een kwartier. koelwater was heel heet en ga niet wachten tot ie gaat spuwen. Ook geen bubbels in het expansievat met draaiende motor.

De zekering 7 heb ik vervangen. Als ik de kachel instel met de temp koud dan baast hij warme lucht. Wat dus koud hoort te zijn, en als ik het wiel naar rood draai word de lucht veel warmer. Daar zit een temp verschil in.
Ik heb smorgens wel als ik de auto start dan hoor ik in het dashboard een paar bubbels van het koelwater en daarna niet meer.

De rood zwarte draad met een multimeter doorgemeten 14,2 volt en als ik die stekker doorverbind dus beidde draden meet geeft ie 13,8 bij een draaiende motor.
Dan heb ik dus gister zo ik het nu zie kortsluiting gemaakt door de rood zwarte draad met de motor te verbinden en dat verklaart dan die vonk ?

Ik had gisteren op de laptop het schema er niet bij, nu op de pc er even bij gezocht.
De temperatuurschakelaar werkt gewoon op aarde verbindingen, zoals ik al eerder heb vermeld.
Je kunt dit ook uit het schema ontlenen.
Indien je de bedrading volgt dan zie je dat er een massa wordt doorgegeven naar de negatieve kant van de spoel van het relais.

Indien er iets fout gaat op het moment dat je massa maakt, dan zit er elders iets niet goed.

Had je de dop van het expansievat afgehaald?

Dan zou ik de thermostaat checken zoals in dat filmpje.
Als deze niet of maar een heel klein beetje opent loopt de temperatuur op.
En de riemspanning gaan checken.
Als de waterpomp niet voldoende pompt/circuleert loopt de temperatuur ook op.

Aan de rechterkant bij de rode pijlen loopt een voedingsdraad voor de magneet koppeling als dit de magneet is.

Het mooie Benz haynes boek wat ik hier heb net even ingekeken.
Daar kwam ik de volgende foto tegen.

Het zwarte wiel wat op de waterpomp zit als je de poulie verwijderd: Is dat de magneet koppeling ?
daarnaast loopt een zwarte draad ik heb er rode pijltjes ingezet. Kan mischien ook zijn dat die draad
stuk is waardoor de fan niet aanslaat.

Komende week mischien dinsdag zal ik die magneet koppeling even zichtbaar maken. De multiriem eraf poelie de vin die kunststof bak dan kan ik het zien,de stroomdraden controleren op breuk.

Hoe kan ik testen of de magneet koppeling werkt welke draden moet ik dan doorverbinden want dat is
mij nog niet duidelijk.

Oh ja , kachel is ook weer in orde door zekering 7 te vervangen.
