Hallo allemaal,

Ik ben niels ben 22 jaar oud en heb sinds gisteren een Mercedes 230E uit 1985 in de kleur rauchsilber. De auto heeft 224.000 km gelopen en ziet er nog prachtig uit voor zijn leeftijd. Natuurlijk moet er wel het een en andere aan gedaan worden maar de basis is al prachtig!

Netjes Niels, en welkom! Ga je de originele knipperlichten en wieldoppen (of 15-gaats lichtmetalen velgen) nog plaatsen? Of blijft hij zo?

Naar aanleiding van het quoten , lees ook hierover de forum regels even.

Als je belang hecht aan originaliteit en je wilt LM velgen plaatsen, ga dan voor putdeksels (met ovale gaten) en niet voor de 8 gaats. Je hebt een eerste serie 124 (Mopf 0) en de 8 gaats velgen zijn pas later, bij de Mopf1, gekomen. Putdeksels staat ook gewoon mooier op een Mopf0 imho, 8 gaats oogt dan vreemd, smoelt niet, terwijl ik dezelfde 8 gaats op een Mopf 1 of 2 wel weer mooi vind. Het is natuurlijk heel persoonlijk, maar een originele Benz is gewoon een mooie auto, alles wat de originaliteit aantast is in mijn ogen een verkrachting....

Je kunt er natuurlijk ook voor kiezen om de originele wieldoppen te plaatsen...

Ik ga nu de facelift netjes afmaken. Ik heb net een kappen set met de skirts opgehaald en die ga ik in de goede kleur spuiten die bij rauchsilber hoort. Ik vind het nu niet zo mooi met de facelift kont en voorkant maar de zijkant weer niet... dus bumper kappen en skirts netjes spuiten en iets verlagen want hij staat nu erg hoog op zn poten. In de toekomst ga ik hem weer pre facelift maken maar voor nu is dit een stuk goedkoper.....ik weet het niet zoals de auto origineel was maar dat is hij toch al niet dus dan maak ik hem liever een stuk netter met de zijkappen .
