Hallo allemaal,

Na een aantal dagen rond te hebben gespeurd op dit forum is het tijd om mij kort voor te stellen. Ik ben Daniel, 47 jaar, en vanaf morgen eigenaar van een 300D uit 1989.

Ik heb deze auto nog niet met eigen ogen gezien. Het is namelijk een auto ter vervanging van de auto die wij bij ons vakantiehuis in Spanje hebben staan. Het is dus een auto op Spaans kenteken, die de afgelopen 21 jaar eigendom is geweest van een pensionado die enkele weken geleden is overleden. De laatste 6 jaar is er nauwelijks gereden met de auto, nauwelijks meer dan de jaarlijkse rit naar de ITV (de Spaanse APK). De auto hebben wij gevonden via onze zaakwaarnemer aldaar.

Hij heeft nog maar 228.000 op de teller, gecontroleerd met de Spaanse NAP. Afgelopen december heeft hij nog een verse APK gekregen. Er zijn een paar dingen die niet (goed) werken: de toerenteller doet het niet, het open dak klapt wel open en dicht maar schuift niet open en het vernis op de middenconsole is gebarsten. Geen roest!

Ik ben erg benieuwd! Nu nog wachten op het opheffen van alle reisbeperkingen om er zelf een stukje mee te kunnen rijden!

P.S. Diesels worden in Spanje niet extra belast, ik geloof dat wij € 180 per jaar aan wegenbelasting gaan betalen. Deze auto vervangt trouwens een oude Renault Laguna 1.9 diesel uit 1999, die optisch in beduidend slechtere staat was (en nu nog slechter, want total loss gereden, niet door ons!).

Er zijn slechtere vakantie-auto's te verzinnen...en 228.000 km voor een 300D is nét ingereden.

Dank! Ons vakantiehuis staat in Asturias, in het noorden aan de Atlantische kust. Bijna 900 ten noord-westen van Alicante!

Ik heb vandaag de verzekering overgezet van de Laguna naar de Mercedes. Wij zijn daar verzekerd bij Línea Directa, overzetten ging telefonisch verrassend simpel. Ik was even bang dat eea problemen zou geven, want ik had op de website gelezen dat ze geen auto’s verzekeren die ouder zijn dan 25 jaar, maar dat was geen probleem.

Ik ben erg benieuwd naar hoe de auto rijdt, volgens onze zaakwaarnemer als nieuw.

Rond de pook moet je misschien het hout wat netter laten maken.

Wel grappig hoe het kenteken verborgen is gemaakt in de laatste foto's, terwijl het goed te lezen is in de eerste foto's.

Hoop dat je `m snel kan rijden!!

Dit zijn foto’s die onze zaakwaarnemer in eerste instantie doorgestuurd kreeg, waarschijnlijk gemaakt om de auto te adverteren. Gelukkig waren nog niet alle foto’s bewerkt, zodat ik een kentekencheck kon opvragen bij de Spaanse RDW.

Ik begrijp overigens wel waarom jij in jouw foto’s het kenteken onzichtbaar maakt: bij de RDW gegevens zit ook de naam en het adres van de eigenaar!

De auto moet nog worden overgeschreven, dat is daar wel een heel gedoe, dat is hier in Nederland wel een stuk eenvoudiger en minder bureaucratisch.

Klopt trouwens, bij het hout van de middenconsole is het vernis flink uitgedroogd. Ik ga kijken of ik hier in Nederland een vervanger kan vinden bij die meneer uit Zierikzee! Hier een foto van onze zaakwaarnemer:

Dank! Ik ben nu waarschijnlijk wel de enige eigenaar op het forum die zijn W124 nog nooit in levende lijven heeft gezien, laat staan er in gereden. Hoop dat ik weer binnenkort naar Spanje kan!

Ik heb inmiddels wel de opties opgezocht aan de hand van het vin nummer. Geen dingen die ik nog niet wist:

Schuif/kanteldak
Elektrische ramen voor
Mechanische antenne
Armsteun voor
Warmte werend glas rondom

ABS zit standaard op een moph 1, niet?

Mooie auto, daar ga je veel plezier aan beleven. Een set originele velgen zouden niet misstaan, wat
er nu op zit trekt op ****
Er zit i.d.d. ABS op.

Dat hout in de middenconsole kan je schuren en lakken.
Op dit forum en andere fora kan je zoeken how to ('Bayram' met een witte W126 300SE bijvoorbeeld).

Tijd voor een update. Wij zijn nu in Spanje en ik heb eindelijk onze 300D kunnen bekijken en - belangrijker - er in gereden.

Rijden valt niet tegen, de motor is stil, de handbal schakelt goed en de wegligging is redelijk voor een auto uit die tijd.

De toerenteller en kilometerteller werken niet (de snelheidsmeter wel), de mechanische antenne is afgebroken toen ik die uit wilde schuiven. Het schuifdak klapt wel open, maar blokkeert bij het openschuiven.

Zijn er makkelijke oplossingen voor deze gebreken? En hebben jullie toevallig een idee voor een nieuwe antenne?
