Vanmiddag op de A16, een bordeauxrode W124. 250D uit 1986. Die had ik al eerder gespot op 20 juni...vooruit dan, omdat ie zo mooi is

Het lijkt wel of half Made een W124 in zijn bezit heeft.

Dit exemplaar zag ik zojuist in een woonwijk vlakbij het stadhuis staan. @ Arpad: De auto staat (wederom) schuin in het parkeervak maar nog wel binnen de lijntjes. Schijnt een lokale sport te zijn

Het betreft een 300D uit 1993, is van de vierde eigenaar. Veel roest op de bekende plekken, stoffen bekleding, een 5-bak, dakdragers en de teller nadert de 5 ton (498.000 km).

Vandaag aan voorzijde twee verse Sachs schokbrekers laten installeren, wát een verschil! Kan weer even vooruit.

Tijdens proefritje in de buurt van Rilland zag ik deze twee W124's staan. Het leek op een autosloperij, volgens mij zijn ze beide nog goed genoeg voor dagelijks gebruik. De sedan is een 260E uit 1991, de andere een C124 met AMG-kit. Leuk spul!

Dit was een toevallige ontmoeting bij de pomp vandaag. Een oude baas parkeerde naast me, een 300 Turbo Diesel. Gekocht in Düsseldorf, met 70.000 km in 1997. Nu 500.000 km, nooit kapot geweest....alleen slechts de olie nu en dan vervangen.

Hij startte 'm even voor me.....een raar sisss geluid op 1 van de cilinders, maar mag het? Die kerel wil er nog 20 jaar in rijden.....

Met het juiste onderhoud en de nodige TLC, haalt ie met gemak de 1.000.000

Vandaag weer eens op bezoek bij Arjen (Gombal) om wat kleine euvels te verhelpen: lampje schakelunit vervangen, vernieuwen van deel van gordelaangever wat gordel geleidt en alvast een nieuwe accuplaat erin, ter voorbereiding op 100 ampère accu.

We staan wat te converseren, rijdt er ineens een Duitse W124 door de straat. Ik was te laat met 'schieten' maar had het vermoeden dat ie wel terug zou komen. En jawel hoor
