Gisteren ergens in Noord-Limburg spotte ik (nou ja, de dashcam) deze W124

Dat lijkt me zo op het oog een mooie W124 ik vind de kleur ook mooi

Dat is een mooie zwart wit foto ik schat iets van eind jaren 60 zo aan de modellen te zien??

Gezien de productiejaren van de tentoon gestelde auto's zal het grofweg tussen 1955 en 1963 zijn geweest.


De ponton is tussen 1953 en 1963 gebouwd.
De 190sl is gebouwd tussen 1955 en 1963.
De coupe/cabrio van de ponton van 1956 tot 1960.
Van de beide Aenauers is te weinig te zien voor mij om daar een bouwreeks van te kunnen maken.

De foto zal tussen 1956 en 1960 gemaakt zijn, verwacht ik. Jaartallen komen van Wikipedia.

Voor de kenner wellicht nog meer te specificeren aan de hand van de achterste wielkast van de 190sl, waar de langgerekte verbreding boven de wielkast ontbreekt, waar de meesten dit wel hadden. Mogelijk is dit het prototype wat op de New York motorshow van 1954 heeft gestaan?
Dat komt overeen met de constatering van Kees hieronder, waar hij het jaartal heeft omcirkeld.

Dat zou ook betekenen dat de bouwjaren van de coupe/cabrio van de ponton niet kloppen...

Wat weten jullie veel van de oudere modellen maar het blijft prachtig zo n oude foto

Resteert de vraag in welke plaats deze motorshow plaatsvond?

Goede vriend Gerard reist voor z'n werk de halve wereld rond en stuurt mij soms foto's van W124's die hij in het wild spot. Deze W124 spotte hij in Guayaquil...dat ligt in Ecuador

Maar die W124 uit Ecuador is een mooie en daar zal hij niet zo snel roesten denk ik
