Ha allen,

Zoals ik in mijn voorstelbericht al aangaf heb ik een W124 gezien op marktplaats. Betreft de onderstaande:

Wellicht kennen jullie deze Benz of hebben jullie goede ideeën voor bij het bezichtigen. Heb al wat goede tips gevonden dankzij de zoekfunctie!

Een prachtige wagen zo op het oog!
Overgangsmodel, als je het mij vraagt, de beste!

Ik kan zo op de foto’s en info geen aandachtspunt ontdekken, enkel pluspunten.
Wat opvalt is het aantal eigenaren sinds de import naar NL in 2005; 7 stuks......
Waarom zoveel wisselingen? Huidige eigenaar heeft hem nu 3 jaar.

Belangrijk en leuk is zoveel mogelijk informatie erbij hebben: rekeningen, onderhoudsboekje, eigenaren etc.

Prijs is aan hoge kant, maar alles valt en staat met de staat/onderhoud.
Misschien kan je voor 4000 euro een mooie deal maken.
Ik woon niet in de buurt, misschien kan een forumlid nog met je mee.

Dank voor de reactie! Het aantal eigenaren waren mij ook opgevallen inderdaad. Volgens de verkoper heeft ie alle onderhoudshistorie bij de auto. Ook geen bezwaar tegen een aankoopkeuring.

Inmiddels ook wat meer foto's ontvangen. Deze zal ik proberen te plaatsen.

Dit zijn de foto's die ik heb ontvangen. Ik kan wel iets aan roestvorming ontdekken, maar daar is natuurlijk pas echt iets over te zeggen bij het live bekijken van de auto.

mooie auto, prijs misschien beetje te hoog maar ziet er zo mooi uit, extra velgen erbij is ook niet verkeerd

Lijkt goede auto. Inderdaad nogal wat eigenaren. Dat is in Nederland wel vaker zo helaas. Bekijk de onderhoudshistorie goed. Misschien een tellerrapport aanvragen om zeker te zijn van die km-stand? Maar de APK keuringsrapporten en de historie kan ook de km-stand bevestigen. Nadeel, voor zo ver dat je dat een nadeel mag noemen, vind ik de kleur. Zilver vind ik een beetje saai.. Maar goed, je hebt het natuurlijk niet voor het uitkiezen met dit soort wagens

De prijs vind ik absoluut niet te hoog als de wagen verder helemaal in orde is. Tegenwoordig zijn juist de modellen met een 24-kleps M104 motor gewild want ze zijn sneller en zuiniger dan de oudere modellen. Je mag er ook de steden mee in. Je zult verder versteld staan van het enorme rijplezier dat een 320E biedt. Dat is misschien wel het enige nadeel: je raakt verslaafd aan de rijeigenschappen en wil nooit meer iets anders... Verder valt me op dat de advertentietekst zonder spelfouten en goed geschreven is. Alle nuttige info staat er in. Dat is in tweedehands autoland, waar het stikt van de sjacheraars en botte boeren, een unicum! Ik zeg: zeker gaan kijken en rijden!!

Hallo Jaap,

Geert (hierboven) heeft fantastisch speurwerk voor je gedaan: de wagen is dus tussen eind augustus 2014 en eind 2015/begin 2016 in bezit geweest van mede-forumlid "highperformance". Ik zou gewoon even met hem contact opnemen, hij kent de auto en kan jou ongetwijfeld vertellen welke problemen er mee waren ten tijde van de verkoop.

Bij hem begon het probleem blijkbaar met de ASR-dashboardmeldingen (op de dashboardfoto van nu, zie ik dat hele ASR lampje inmiddels niet meer terug, althans de ASR-aanduiding ontbreekt, dat hoort rechts van het SRS lampje te zitten). In de tijd van "highperformance" is kennelijk een kapotte kabelboom vervangen (nog onder garantie door de toenmalige verkoper Marco Hof). Echter, als je het verhaal verder doorleest, dan blijkt dat die defecte kabelboom toch al aardig wat schade had aangericht aan de elektronica (bij defekte kabelbomen kan je rare kortsluitingen krijgen). Het bleef dus niet bij vervanging van de kabelboom. Ook het gasklephuis (volledig elektronisch bij de 320 E, een erg duur onderdeel) was kennelijk kapot (is mij niet helemaal duidelijk of die daarna door het juiste type computer is vervangen, dan wel correct is gereviseerd). Dat verklaart ook meteen waarom de tempomat al vanaf dag 1 bij hem niet werkte (vreemd dat er trouwens toen een John Gold was ingezet; volgens mijn informatie werkt dat helemaal niet in combinatie met ASR; daar zou uitsluitend een originele MB-tempomat op horen te passen, aangesloten op de computer die het elektronisch gaspedaal regelt). Best mogelijk dat alles correct is vervangen of gerepareerd (Cor de Jong wordt genoemd in het verhaal, dat is wel een vakman), maar dit is zeker wel een puntje om even goed naar te kijken voordat je tot aankoop overgaat. Even navragen bij genoemd mede-forumlid kan geen kwaad. Verder ziet de wagen er inderdaad schitterend uit. Succes, en hou ons op de hoogte!

Hou er rekening mee dat genoemd forumlid al sinds februari 2016 niet meer hier online is geweest en de kans dat je antwoord krijgt dus erg klein is

Ben idd blij met de link die Geert geplaatst heeft. Ik heb dat topic met interesse gelezen.

De verkoper gaf aan dat alle documentatie bij de auto aanwezig is. Dus ga ervan uit dat ik alles kan checken. Zal idd wat extra aandacht besteden aan de tempomat en het gasklephuis.

Tot zover heb ik een redelijk goed gevoel erbij. Ook omdat het contact met de verkoper soepel verloopt. Maar goed, eerst kijken! Voor de 24e staat een bezichtiging gepland!

John Gold of en Waeco50 kan je aansluiten op elke auto. En daarna voorzien van originele MB hendel.

Ja, ben erg benieuwd naar de proefrit!

Over het stoffen cabrio - dakje had ik eventjes heengelezen
Ik vermoed dat de stoffen bekleding bedoeld wordt?

Hou jullie uiteraard op de hoogte na de bezichtiging/proefrit.

De lakkleur van deze auto is brillantsiber met kleurcode 744 en je hebt ook optiecode 744: Verdeckstoff 5010 dunkelblau. Als de kleurcode overeen komt met een optiecode, staat die optie achter de kleurcode op de wagenkarte van MB/EPC en ook in de optielijst. Is er voor een kleurcode geen optiecode zie je dit niet. Is een soort bug in het systeem.

Voor iets goeds betaal je gewoon en zeker voor een 320.

Zojuist bij de auto gekeken. Ziet er echt top uit, geheel overeenkomstig met de foto's. Ter plaatse geen zaken kunnen ontdekken die niet in advertentie genoemd stonden.

Verkoper ook een keurige man met alle documentatie op orde.
Auto rijdt top. Ligt strak op de weg, geen afwijkingen of trillingen. Remmen doen hun werk naar behoren en de automaat schakelt soepel!
Interieur echt als nieuw en elektra werkt.

Wat werkt niet.. de tempomaat. Die heeft de verkoper niet meer aangesloten nadat er een storing mee is geweest. Betreft ook een niet originele uitvoering.
Ook werkt de verlichting bij de versnellingspook niet.

Verder viel mij op dat het gaspedaal zich, gevoelsmatig, zwaar liet bedienen. Maar misschien hoort dat?

Al met al een goed gevoel overgehouden!

Nu op het gemak alles laten bezinken om een goed overwogen besluit te nemen.

Gister bij de auto gekeken en een proefrit gedaan.
Wat rijdt zo een wagen top! Auto kwam overeen met de advertentie en hoe de verkoper hem omschreven heeft. Geen extra roest kunnen ontdekken of andere zaken die niet vermeldt waren.

Elektra, orthopedische stoelen, airco werkten allen naar behoren.

Tijdens het rijden viel op dat de automaat heel soepel schakelt. Motor pakt goed op en draait heel netjes stationair.
Geen trillingen of afwijkend stuurgedrag en ook de remmen werken naar behoren.

Wat niet werkt is de tempomat. De huidige eigenaar heeft deze na een storing, waarbij het gaspedaal, bleef hangen niet meer aangesloten. Dit verbaasde me niet gelet op de info die hier op het forum al naar boven was gekomen.
Verder werkte de verlichting bij de versnellingspook niet.

Wat ik wel jammer vond is dat de bekleding in de kofferbak niet goed meer pastte. Dit komt waarschijnlijk door het plaatsen van de trekhaak. Het lijkt erop dat er verstevigingsbalken zijn geplaatst, waardoor de bekleding dus niet goed meer past. Heeft iemand daar toevallig ervaring mee?

Verkoper was een nette man en had alle documentatie netjes op orde.

Al met al een goed gevoel overgehouden aan het bezoek. Nu alles even laten bezinken om een goed overwogen besluit te nemen!
