Had een Benz eind jaren '60, zit dus in het bloed dat ik er ook 2 heb 50 jaar later.

Vanmiddag op de Ringbaan-West in my hometown Tilburg, deze Citroën 2CV...ehhhh..Sport
Doet mijn hart altijd wat sneller kloppen want mijn eerste auto was...een 2CV.

Volgens Finnik is dit een Citroën Ami Super Break, van 26-09-1975 ofwel bijna 46 jaar oud. Dus belastingvrij en het weegt al bijna niets. De Ami is waarschijnlijk het chassis, de opbouw is van een geheel andere orde. Overduidelijk een opbouwkit.

Reden: een roestvrij rechter voorscherm ophalen bij een W124 fanaat. Nu nog verkrijgbaar en redelijk betaalbaar. M'n huidige voorschermen beginnen fors te roesten. Had al een linker voorscherm maar een rechter ontbrak nog.

Bij het inrijden van het dorp viel mijn oog meteen op een rode VW-brandweer-bus. Blijkt uit 1957...erg fraai!

Dankje, Nan. Ik rijd niet zoveel Benz als jij (4.000 km vanaf januari dit jaar) maar elke keer geniet ik.

Met m’n andere nineties bolide zijn m’n vrouw en ik vorige week 4 nachtjes en 3.000 km van huis geweest. Rondje Oostenrijkse passen maar ook de Stelvio en Timmelsjoch meegepakt.

We hebben met de A124 ook nog wel plannen voor een tripje.

Deze zie je zelden in het wild: Mclaren MP4-12C 3.8 uit 2013. Kostte destijds een slordige €250.000. Daarvoor kreeg je dan wel 600 paardenkrachten op de achterwielen en een topsnelheid van 330 km/u...
