Die auto ken ik ook, reken er op dat die is verkocht voor € 2000

Waarom koop je niet gewoon de auto die je het mooist vindt?
Genieten is misschien wel de beste investering

Die handelaar heeft de auto niet net duurder gemaakt.
Tot voor kort was die auto van een particulier, ook een MB-liefhebber
En ja, daar zaten nog wel wat manco's aan. Die er vast nu ook nog wel aan zitten.
De auto is altijd goed onderhouden, maar de laatste 2 jaar niet (echt).

W140, niet W126

Jawel, de W126 uit 1979
Vanaf toen is dat stijlelement geïntroduceerd.

In welke mate gelijkt de neus van de 3de generatie op die van de W126 en die van de 1ste en 2de generatie niet?

De W126 en de W124 (1st and 2nd gen) hebben beiden een radiatorrooster dat helemaal zichbaar is. De 3de generatie kreeg dat radiatorrooster dat in de motorkap was ingewerkt zoals op de W140 en de W202.

Dus ik vrees dat ik niet mee ben met je vergelijking van 3rd gen en W126.

Zie nog eens mijn bijwerking uit mijn vorige bericht (had ik net geplaatst voor jouw posting).
Ik denk dat het dan duidelijker wordt.

Het dominante stijlelement dat er een stukje gelakt plaatwerk tussen grille en koplamp zit, is geïntroduceerd op de W126.

Dat de grille zelf in de jaren 90 is afgeplat en de ster is verplaatst op de motorkap sinds de W140, dat is correct.
Is ook geen discussiepunt.

Ah, OK. Maar dat is ook het minder mooie.

Dat er wat plaatwerk naast zit, daar kan ik makkelijker mee leven. Maar een Benz hoort oranje knipperlichten te hebben en een ster OP de de grille.

(Al kan ik met de ster op de kap bij mijn S nog redelijk leven)

Al wat verder met de zoektocht ?

Ik ga het even bij de 320E houden. Had een 400 enkel als investering gekocht, maar heb niet echt veel tijd om me er mee bezig te houden op dit moment.

Ik kijk ook naar een 400E, op de eerste plaats om er lol mee te hebben, en in mijn achterhoofd als een investering. Om over een investering te spreken, in hoeverre zal dit blijven ? Ik doel dan op de beschikbaarheid van brandstof. Eens is dit op, en dan lijkt mij het, dat een brandstofauto niet veel meer waard zal zijn. Hoe denken de leden van dit forum hierover ?

Brandstofauto's zullen door de staat in waarde kelderen, danwel de brandstof laten verdwijnen, en dan willen ze ons in elektro bakken hebben.

Ik kan hun nu de garantie al zwart op wit geven, dat ze dan in autoland niet veel meer aan me zullen verdienen dan voor mij voor vervoer strikt noodzakelijk.

Als ik geen brandstof motor meer mag of kan horen is het niet leuk meer, grommen, brommen of brullen moet zo'n ding hoewel ik een Benzgenietend rijder ben dus brullen is het bij mij zelden maar soms moet het even.

Morgen weer op pad voor een mooie diesel, hoop niet mijn laatste, want ze klinken zo heerlijk.
(door machinestoring en wachten op onderdelen op Frankrijk spontaan komende nacht vrij van mijn werk zonder dat het uren kost, zodoende heb ik morgen onverwacht even tijd)

Dat we aan een ander alternatief moeten gaan wennen, staat volgens mij wel vast. Maar wat doet het met de waarde van de brandstofauto ?

Als investering is je geld in een auto stoppen nooit erg zinnig geweest. Als je de garage uit rijdt met een nieuwe is hij direct veel minder waard als wat je hebt betaald. Die slechte " investering" zal i.v.m het overschot aan
" vervuilende " diesels en benzine motoren erger worden. Dat onze auto's niet zo slecht zijn voor het milieu als wordt beweerd gaan wij niet meer duidelijk kunnen maken. De lobby zit te ver in die massale ontwikkeling en heeft een te grote greep op die ook politieke beslissingen.

Het duurt allemaal nog wel even maar je kunt op één gegeven moment een hele knappe oldtimer/yongtimer voor heel weinig geld kopen.
Het probleem is dan dat je er niet meer mee mag rijden.

Dus de waarde?? = dan voor mij 0 euro

Ja nieuw kopen is nooit verstandig geweest, financieel dan. Daarom twijfel ik nu om een oldtimer, als investering te zien. Ik ga het dan voorlopig de komende tijd op genieten houden. Dus gewoon verder opzoek naar een 400E naast mijn 320E
