Vandaag met het zonnetje deed ik uiteraard mijn schuifdak open maar tot mijn schrik hoorde ik aan het eind een "klik"geluid. Ik deed het dak weer dicht en alles leek in orde. Nu schuift het dak echter niet meer open. Wel kan ik hem nog in de kantelstand zetten, dus de kabel drukt nog wel maar trekt niet meer. Vanuit de kantelstand kan ik hem dan wel weer met de hand dicht drukken. Ik vermoed dus dat hij bij de aansluiting van het mechanisme aan het dakje zelf is losgeschoten. Nu heb ik het hele forum al doorgespit en weet inmiddels ook hoe de hemel los moet maar het probleem is dat ik het dak niet kan open schuiven om de bekleding van het schuifdak te verwijderen.

Wie heeft er ervaring met deze storing en kan me voorzien van tips? Dan kan ik er meteen een mooie "hoe to" van maken.

Ja dat is een groot probleem..ik weet het...probeer hem eens handmatig open te draaien...op de motor zitten 2 witte draaiknoppen...de eerste die je tegen komt die moet je even helemaal uittrekken.

daarna ga je met dop 16 de tweede draaiknop naar links draaien om het dak te openen...dat kan een beetje zwaar gaan maar probeer het maar...dus even in de koffer gaan liggen en hem naar links draaien..niet forceren anders draai je de knop af...misschien heb je geluk en kan je hem nog voor 3/4 openen om het hemeltje te verwijderen.

met een beetje mazzel lukt het nog en kun je na het verwijderen van de dakpan het mechanisme gangbaar krijgen...maar met een beetje pech...is jou kabel naar de kl...te...en dan wordt het een ander verhaal.

je kan ook het binnenhemeltje er uit trekken...is mij ook wel een keer gelukt...hij is dan een beetje verbogen maar kan wel weer worden hergebruikt.

Nog maar eens een Tip over het schuifdak!!!!!!!!
ook al werkt hij goed....hou de geleiderails schoon...gebruik geen vet...alleen maar schoonpoetsen met WD40.

het mechanisme glijd met vilten dopjes over de rails....als deze vilten dopjes vol met vet komen te zitten trekt dat allemaal vuil aan.

Als je het helemaal goed wil doen haal dan de dakpan eens los...dan kun je het hele mechanisme smeren en schoonmaken.

ik heb geleiderails gezien die gewoon plakken van het opgedroogde vet...je begrijpt wel dat het dan niet meer zo goed glijdt...met schade aan het mechanisme als gevolg.

ik heb de afgelopen maand al 3x een schuifdakje gerepareerd ...en morgen staat de vierde op de planning ...en echt leuk werk is het zeker niet hoor...zeker als de schuifdakmotor of kabel er ook nog uit moet.

Dus helemaal onbekend is het niet. Echter is dit een schuifdak dat kantelt. Toch flink anders. De motor handmatig draaien heeft helaas geen zin want hij is volgens mij op de plek waar de kabel aan het dak zit bevestigd los geschoten. Ik hoor de kabel namelijk wel tegen het dak drukken. Ik zal eens proberen of ik de bekleding los krijg met het dak dicht. En dan maar zien wat ik tegen kom..inderdaad rotklusjes. Speciaal (wit) glijspul van de MB garage heb ik nog (alleen maar in grote hoeveelheden te koop, maar gekregen bij een behulpzame receptie in een zakje) maar het dak schoof mooi soepeltjes. Ouderdom van de kabel wellicht...

Misschien heb je hier iets aan: wat te doen als je schuifdak niet open wilt en je daarom de boel open wilt hebben. wel in het Duits.

En ? heb je hem nog open gekregen John ?...de kabel zal gelukkig nog goed zijn..maar ik denk dat het mechanisme vervangen dient te worden..mij is opgevallen dat de auto's vanaf 1988 een plastic kantelmechanisme heeft (kwetsbaar) en de oudere 86ers een gedeeltelijk stalen kantelmechanisme en deze laatste heeft/krijgt weinig problemen.

Hoi Ron,

Ik ben er vandaag nog niet aan toe gekomen om de boel eens nader te onderzoeken. Ik vermoed dat de kabel is los geschoten. Hij duwt namelijk nog wel (ik kan het dak gewoon in de kantelstand zetten) maar trekt het mechanisme niet meer aan. Ik hoor de kabel dan wel de trekbeweging maken. Vervolgens kan ik het dak daarna gewoon dicht drukken van bovenaf. Weet je toevallig waar de kabel bevestigd zit?

De kabel zit bevestigd aan de dwarsbalk zeg maar...op foto 2 rechtsboven hoort nog een dwarsbalk tussen die zit met 6 boutjes aan beide zijde van het mechanisme vast zit.

Ik verwacht aankomend weekend tijd te krijgen. Met jouw info moet het lukken. Overigens trok hij vanmorgen het dak weer bijna dicht vanuit de klapstand. Dus veel kan het naar mijn mening niet zijn (hoop ik )
