Voor de ombouw naar mopf1 moet ik nog een nieuwe grille voorzien.

De chrome rooster ga ik gebruikt proberen scoren ipv aftermarket, nog nooit een woord goed over gelezen

voor het binnenwerk:

deze is te vinden op Taxiteile, maar is zo goedkoop dat ik toch enige twijfel heb over de kwaliteit ervan

de metalen lijstjes die op de grille moeten: kan ik nergens terugvinden. Enkel verkrijgbaar bij de dealer?

Nieuwe bij Mercedes kost volgens mij 20 tot 40 euro(Plastic)

Meteen alle prijzen eens nagekeken van de laatst aangerekende onderdelen, komen allemaal overeen

Iemand ervaring met dat grille binnenwerk van Taxiteile? Is idd belachelijk goedkoop! Ik heb m'n eigen grille opgeknapt en er kropen toch redelijk wat uren en zweet in... (Binnenkant van de chroom grille ook schoongemaakt nu ze eraf was)

Voor het inzetstuk ben ik als volgt tewerk gegaan:

- grille demonteren en vervolgens uit elkaar halen

Tip: Maak niet dezelfde fout als ik en laat de ster op de grille zitten. Ik dacht dat deze eraf gehaald moest worden om de grille te kunnen demonteren, waarna ik een onderdeeltje kwijt ben (zit met veren onder spanning dus sprong een beetje naar alle kanten uit elkaar) dus kon de ster niet meer terug plaatsen. Je kan de grille omhoog tillen (onderkant ster door het gat in de motorkap) en dan is ze vrij.

- grille binnenwerk goed schoonmaken van stof/zand etc. indien nodig (erg tijdrovend met al die hokjes waar je amper tussen kan)

- grille lichtjes opschuren met fijn schuurpapier of zo'n grijs schuurmatje (ook erg tijdrovend)

- grille goed ontvetten zodat er geen schuurstof meer achterblijft

- al dan niet een plastic primer aanbrengen (ik heb 2 grilles gespoten en heb het bij de ene wel gedaan maar bij de andere niet, omdat ik Motip bumperspray gebruikt heb, dat je volgens de tekst op de bus rechtstreeks op de bumper kan aanbrengen (indien vuil- en vetvrij)

- grille spuiten met Motip Bumper Spray Donkergrijs (04075), deze komt zeer dicht in de buurt bij het oorspronkelijke donkergrijs van de grille en mopf 0 bumper, vind ik! Kan tevens ook gebruikt worden om o.a. het grijze (vaak ook afgekleurde) plastic binnenwerk van de koplampglazen mee te spuiten. Spuit niet te dik in één keer, liever in een paar dunne laagjes, dit om te vermijden dat de verf gaat 'lopen'.


Benodigdheden:

- veel tijd, zin en geduld
- schuurpapier (600 of 800, evt. nat) of grijs schuurmatje
- eventueel een stokje van een frisco om het schuurpapier rond te wikkelen zodat je makkelijker in de hoekjes van de hokjes in de grille raakt (ik heb zelf wel vrij fijne vingers maar na een tijdje begint het ook vermoeiend te worden)
- ontvetter (+ evt. stofvrije doek)
- Motip Bumper Spray Donkergrijs (04075)
- stofvrije omgeving om te spuiten

Ik heb een paar maanden terug op winparts een plastic grille insert gekocht voor 11 euro. Pastte perfect en ziet er super uit! Juiste kleur en pasmaat. Chrome sierstrips gingen er prima op. Het zal de zelfde zijn als op taxiteile of anders soortgelijk.

Ik zie dat jij ook een mooie zilverdistel groene hebt, net als mijn 300D.

Ik zag op internet dat sommige mensen het kunststof ook wel Astralzilver spuiten, zoals bijvoorbeeld een w204 C-klasse standaard heeft. Schijnt er opgefrist uit te zien.

Ik heb effe een foto van je 'geleend' en hem met Paint bewerkt alsof elke horizontale spaak van het inzetstuk chrome zou zijn.
Het ziet er niet super-slecht uit vind ik...

Oei nee, vind ik echt niet mooi. Ik wou net terug de donkere kleur ipv 'afgebleekte'/verweerde look. Ook geen fan van die 'Avantgarde'-look grilles, zeker niet op een mopf 0 en mopf 1.

Dit is niet hetzelfde als de Avantgarde grille. De Avantgarde grille heeft minder horizontale spijlen en naar mijn idee te 'open'. Wat ik liet zien is de originele grille waarvan alle horizontale spijlen zogenaamd een chrome strip hebben. Heeft iets weg van de s600 grille.
