Mijn 300E start vaak niet. Inmiddels nummer 30 en 87 doorverbonden op de connectorvoet van het brandstofpomp relais, en dan start de auto wel. Voordat ik nu een nieuw relais bestel, is mijn vraag:

Is mijn huidig relais kapot, of kan het ook zijn dat er dusdanige benzine waardes worden gemeten dat het relais niet word aangestuurd om brandstof te geven.

Ik heb ook nog wat foto’s gemaakt omdat ik veel lees over slechte soldeerverbindingen. Met het blote oog is er niets vreemds aan te zien. En ook het plaatje klikt goed heen en weer.

Laat een soldeerbout goed heet worden en tip de meeste van die soldeer punten aan, even ligt laten smelten meer is niet nodig. Er is een kans dat je dan het probleem hebt opgelost.

Ja je ziet inderdaad wel een soort kringetjes eromheen inderdaad. Bedankt, ik zal morgen is een poging wagen. Word vervolgd.

Maar, gebruik dan wel een soldeerbout die gemaakt is voor printplaten, want indien te veel hitte en de IC en transitors zullen beschadigd worden.
Gebruik soldeertin met een harskern geschikt voor dit soort werk.

Ja goed plan Jos. Wat ik mij verder afvroeg waarom dit relais zoveel componenten heeft. Het is toch alleen een kwestie van in en uit schakelen, net zoals de veel kleinere relais van bv ruitenwissers en knipperlichten..

Ik heb de gebroken punten inmiddels opnieuw gesoldeerd (ook de rood omcircelde) maar helaas nog steeds niet altijd het geluid van het primende brandstofpomp. Soms dus wel.. Maar daar hebben we niets aan.

Dus maar naar een nieuwe op zoek.

Ik zie veel verschillende type nummers voorbij komen op het forum. Is er een gemodificeerde versie die ik beter kan kopen?

Vanavond maar weer is geprobeerd:

1. Motor koud, sleutel erin en op contact, geen geluid van primende pomp. Auto start niet.
2. Brandstofrelais overbrugd, pomp gaat draaien en auto start.
3. Rondje gereden, overbrugging eruit en relais er terug in
4. Sleutel op contact en pomp gaat primen en auto start

En als ie koud is, liedje weer vanaf voor.

Dus de vraag is: Hoort de brandstofpomp niet te primen bij koude motor?

Oke bedankt Richard, ik heb de hulsjes in de voet geïnspecteerd maar die sluiten goed en zijn niet geoxideerd. Contactspay heeft niet geholpen dus heb een nieuwe besteld. Wel een ander type met een pootje meer. Moet geschikt zijn voor de 6 cilinder modellen van de W124/W126
We gaan het zien, word vervolgd.

Nieuwe relais is inmiddels reeds binnen gekomen en geïnstalleerd, de brandstofpomp draaide weer netjes.
Maar helaas toch niet altijd. Op aanraden van Richard toch voor de zekerheid de hulsjes van de connectorvoet alsnog krapper naar binnen gebogen, en probleem is nu toch echt opgelost!

Bij de koplampen word een eenzelfde connector constructie toegepast en naar aanleiding van de APK bleek daar hetzelfde euvel aan de hand te zijn. Door de jaren heen vaak los en vast zetten maakt de boel toch te ruim.
