Inmiddels al wat regulier onderhoud gedaan en de lekkende waterpomp vervangen, maar ik kan nog niet erg wennen aan het gehuil van het cardan. Ben dan ook bij de garage geweest die mij vertelde dat revisie ervan erg duur wordt. En dat een tweedehands vervangend cardan (3.46 met ABS/ASD) erg moeilijk te vinden is vanwege de ASD waarbij er een andere maat steekassen gebruikt wordt. Heeft iemand hier ervaring mee? Wellicht ook een oplossing???

Helaas heb ik zelf niet de tools/knowhow/ruimte om deze klus zelf op te knappen

Op marktplaats wordt een cardan aangeboden met ASD alleen met een andere overbrenging(3.29 ipv huidige 3.46). Zou dit gaan werken met de huidige aandrijfas/wielassen? En heb ik het juist dat de overbrenging zo'n 5% zwaarder wordt (en dus de afgelezen snelheid op de teller 5% te laag)???

'Het lager van het cardan wordt ook nog wel vervangen en wil wel eens helpen.
Een gebruikte vinden die ook nog eens goed is is moeilijk.'

Wat je kunt proberen, er is op dit advies geen garantie, is vet mengen met cardanolie.

Dus: je koopt cardan olie, een koker vet en mengt de substantie goed. Leeg je cardan en vul hem met die mix.
Het zal niet direct werken, neem even de tijd.

IK heb het filmpje even bekeken. Hier wordt goed in beeld gebracht hoe het moet het is geen hogere wiskunde.Je moet wel weten hoe het weer in elkaar moet en alle onderdelen die je voor de revisie nodig hebt bestellen. Goede werkplek en pers om het werk goed te kunnen uitvoeren en uiteraard handig zijn.

Inmiddels online hoogstwaarschijnlijk het juiste differentieel gevonden ter vervanging. Maar ik ben er nog niet 100% zeker van of het de juiste is (schijnt nog verschil in dikte van de aandrijfassen te zitten)

Ik weet niet wat revisie kost, maar dat zou mijn voorkeur hebben boven vervangen door een gebruikt slijtagedeel - met een aanzienlijke km-stand - dat je op internet hebt gekocht van iemand die je niet kent.

Vervolgens moet dat onderdeel gemonteerd worden; pas dan kom je er achter of je een kat in de zak hebt gekocht of niet. Stel dat dat nieuwe differentieel ook jankt, dan is alle inspanning voor niets geweest.

Er zijn hier op het forum genoeg adressen bekend van betrouwbare Benz specialisten die deze klus voor je kunnen doen. In ieder geval succes ermee.

Weet niet waar je vandaan komt.
Ik heb de automaat van mijn A124 laten repareren door Adem Transmissie te Vlaardingen en was zeer tevreden over de prijs/kwaliteit verhouding. Het is een Turks bedrijf met zeer veel ervaring met W124 types. Iedereen wilde mij een algehele revisie aansmeren, terwijl alleen de achteruit problemen had. Hij vond dit allemaal onzin en heeft voor mij de achteruit gereviseerd tegen een nette prijs.
Vooraf had hij vermeld wat hij verwachte wat er moest vervangen worden, in mijn bijzijn heeft hij de bak uit elkaar gehaald en het klopte precies wat er vervangen moest worden.
Ik weet niet of ze ook een differentieel doen en wat dat dan kost, maar je kan het altijd vragen.
